Lien Pham
Director of Research and EvaluationLien Pham holds a PhD in Sociology from Macquarie University Australia. Her research and published works focus on education and development, civil society, community development, and the intersection of political philosophy and critical sociology. She has also taught research methodologies, public policy evaluation, and sociology, and has provided consultancy services for several Australian government agencies in policy-oriented research and evaluations, particularly in family and community services, disability services, and education and training. From 2020 to 2022, Dr. Pham served as the Director of Research and Evaluation for East Meets West Foundation, where she evaluated development projects in Vietnam and Cambodia, and conducted research on climate change adaptation and citizens' networks in rural Cambodia. She is the author of "International Graduates Returning to Vietnam" (Springer 2019) and "Political Participation and Democratic Capability in Authoritarian States" (Routledge 2021).
